Tax Set
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tax Set mobile application and related services (the "Service"), provided by SoluLab ("SoluLab," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Tax Set estimates a tax set-aside reserve for independent workers using a deterministic calculation engine, based on income, expense, and deduction data you provide or import. The Service also offers transaction classification, plain-language explanations of reserve changes, income-volatility forecasts, deadline and safe-harbor tracking, and CPA-ready exports.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
The Service is offered under the following plans, billed through the App Store or Google Play:
- Monthly subscription: $9.99 per month, billed monthly.
- Annual subscription: $39.99 per year, billed annually (equivalent to $3.33/month).
- One-time purchase: a non-subscription AI report / one-off unlock at $9.99.
Before you purchase a subscription, we display the plan, the exact price, the monthly-equivalent for annual plans, and the exact next-charge date. Subscriptions automatically renew at the price then in effect unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can cancel at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings, or from the Subscription screen in the app. Refunds are handled according to Apple's and Google's respective refund policies; SoluLab does not independently process refunds for purchases made through those platforms. Any money-back guarantee is only in effect if explicitly enabled and disclosed to you at the time of purchase.
5. Free Tier
A Free tier is available without payment, including one static reserve estimate and one deadline view. Continuous automatic recalculation, full explanation and forecast screens, and other Premium features require an active subscription.
6. Refer & Earn
If you participate in our referral program, you may receive one month of Premium access free of charge when a friend you invite completes signup using your referral link or code. Rewards are granted only upon completed signup by the invitee, not merely on a link click. We may modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program, or decline to grant a reward in cases of suspected abuse, at our discretion.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by law;
- Misuse the referral program, including creating fraudulent accounts or invitations.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." While the reserve figure is always produced by our deterministic tax calculation engine, all figures — including classifications, explanations, and forecasts — are estimates and projections based on the data available to us and may not reflect your actual tax liability. Forecasted figures are explicitly labeled as projections and carry a confidence indicator; they are not a guarantee of future liability. We do not guarantee that use of the Service will prevent penalties, interest, or any other consequence of underpayment. AI-assisted features (classification, explanation generation, and forecasting) may occasionally be inaccurate; they never determine or override your calculated reserve figure.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoluLab and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including any tax underpayment, penalty, or interest. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by SoluLab and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your personal use, subject to these Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Intellectual Property) will survive.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SoluLab is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable local law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
